A speedy way to grab the attention of elected officials after a red race car was parked in front of the Guam Congress building over the weekend.

The car belongs to a member of the island's racing community who says the move wasn't a protest but a message to unite and reopen Guam's International Raceway Park.

The message is also circulating on social media, tagging senators and Governor Lou Leon Guerrero.

Meanwhile, a public hearing is scheduled for June 20 on Bill 287, a measure to authorize the Chamorro Land Trust Commission to subdivide and enter into a commercial lease or license for a subdivided portion of a lot in Yigo for the operation of a raceway.

KUAM will have more from the racing community during primetime Wednesday.
