Tree planters and local farmers can avail themselves to two grant opportunities with the Guam Department of Agriculture.

Non-profit organizations, schools, government entities, local businesses, places of worship, other volunteer groups, and individuals have an opportunity to receive up to $10,000 through the Fina’maolek Subgrant Program.

Applicants must fulfill an Urban & Community Forestry tree planting project, professional training, technology development, and/or an education and outreach project.

Agriculture’s Forestry & Soil Resources Division will be hosting an informational workshop at the Sinajana Mayor's Office on Saturday, June 15th from 9am to 12pm.

The workshop will inform interested community members about how to apply for their Fina’maolek Subgrant Program.

The team will explain what the grant is about, and how to turn in a successful application, and address any questions or project ideas with attendees.

To register for the workshop, please email [email protected] or scan the QR code below.

Meantime, Agriculture’s fourth round of applications for their Microgrants for Food Security Program is open until June 28th.

Farmers can apply for up to $5000 in grant funding for food security projects.
