Tenant allegedly attacks property manager claiming he was being scammed

An angry tenant claimed he was being scammed before allegedly attacking the property manager.

Thirty-six-year-old Yong Suk Chang is charged with burglary, aggravated assault, assault and criminal mischief.

The alleged incident happened in Hagatna on Wednesday.

Court documents state Chung demanded the landlord return the check he gave for rent claiming they were somehow scamming him.

When they refused, Chung allegedly punched and kicked the victim multiple times before leaving the scene, even taking a masterlock from a metal gate.

Officers arrested him later that morning after he was spotted back at the apartment complex.
