Registration open for GCC Ship Repair Bootcamp

The Guam Community College office for Continuing Education & Workforce Development announced that open registration for the 12th Ship Repair Bootcamp is scheduled for June through July.
The Ship Repair Bootcamp XII is slated to begin on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
Participants in the Ship Repair bootcamp will receive training in Introduction to Auto Body Paint (Paint Preservation) and Intro to Diesel Technology & Preventative Maintenance I.
Additional training will include Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED, WorkKeys, Work Ethics, and OSHA 10.
The bootcamp’s employer sponsor, Cabras Marine Corporation, will offer those who complete the camp a job at the end of the program. This bootcamp has 20 open spots for those who qualify.
The last day to apply for the Ship Repair bootcamp is by 5 p.m., June 10, 2024.
Those interested will have to meet the following requirements:
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be Underemployed or Unemployed
- Must be able to work in the United States
- Must submit police and court clearances
