The White House recently marked the 25th anniversary of its initiative and presidential advisory commission dedicated to improving the lives of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
President Bill Clinton signed an executive order establishing the program in June 1999.
“We would never finish the work of building one America until our government fully served every American...we’ve come a long way in the last 25 years but we know much work still remains,” former President Bill Clinton said in a video message.
An anniversary video posted to The White House YouTube page features various photos, including Guam officials through the years with the commission such as former Guam delegates Madeleine Bordallo and Robert Underwood and former Guam Gov. Eddie Calvo.
