A local middle school made the grade following a recent inspection by health officials.

The Guam Department of Education announced that Oceanview Middle School passed its recent sanitary inspection by the Department of Public Health and Social Services.

The inspection was conducted on April 15, and the results were confirmed on Thursday.

GDOE Superintendent Dr. Erik Swanson recognized the efforts of the OMS administration and custodial staff in maintaining high sanitary standards and adhering to the health protocols, adding this achievement is particularly significant as it ensures that the school remains a conducive place for educational pursuits and community activities.

The administration of OMS also expressed profound appreciation for the exceptional dedication and hard work of all individuals involved in meeting the rigorous demands of the recent public health inspection.

It was one year ago, the Hagat campus got a failing grade after inspectors found multiple health and safety issues to include leaks to restrooms and locker rooms being exceedingly hot.
