The man who led Guam police officers on an extensive search over the past week has been caught.

KUAM confirms 31-year-old Mesemwam Repwak was taken into custody midday Friday.

Video circulated on social media of officers taking him down and placing his under arrest behind the Mobil gas station in Sinajana.

Police said Repwak was wanted in connection to the May 3 shooting in Maite that sent a teenage girl to the hospital, along with a slew of other violent crimes.

Investigators learned he was recruiting members for a street gang.

No charges have been filed yet, while authorities take him in for questioning.
