United Airlines flight attendants stood in solidarity at the AB Won Pat International Airport today.

It’s part of a nationwide day of action where thousands of United flight attendants will be picketing at 18 airports across the US.

Local Union President with the United Airlines Association of Flight Attendants Rsei Isim told KUAM they are demanding United Airlines executives for the fair contract they deserve now after being in limbo for two years.

“It makes us a little bit ticked off if I can say that. Now you see a corporate get their raise but here we are still asking and demanding for that raise now two years later and we don’t have it. We hope this will encourage the company to come to the table and make sure that we come up with a contract that is deserving of us,” said Isim.

The nationwide day of action comes after United Airlines’ CEO’s pay reportedly nearly doubled last year.

Isim told us the fight for fairer wages and better conditions will continue until their demands are met.
