A roach infestation at one child care center in Sinajana has led to temporary closure and the suspension of its sanitary permit by Public Health.

Health inspectors under the Division of Environmental Health observed multiple live cockroaches throughout the establishment, including in the infant diaper storage shelf and toddler playroom closet.

Inspectors also received complaints of cases of hand-foot-and-mouth disease and reports of the microwave used to heat baby bottles being in terrible condition.

However, at the time of the inspection, these claims were unfounded.

Meantime, the child care center may request for re-inspection after correcting cited violations and meeting all requirements.
