There is some relief ahead for the students and staff at F.B. Leon Guerrero Middle School as officials will break ground at the Yigo campus tomorrow morning.

This marks the beginning of construction to refurbish the school.

You may recall, a section of the school was initially closed off in 2022 after pieces of concrete fell from the ceiling.

Students have since been attending double sessions at Okkodo High School until repairs are made to the facility.

Guam Department of Education superintendent Erik Swanson said this commitment is a testament to the resilience and dedication of educators who strive daily to create a nurturing and conducive atmosphere for academic growth and success.

The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Yigo campus.
