Leaders from the military, government, clergy and humanitarian communities from Guam, the United States and Japan took part in the 13th Peace Memorial Ceremony in Yigo at the South Pacific Memorial Park. This was the first time the solemn event was held in five years due to the pandemic.

The overall message was one of peace throughout the world, forgiving the transgressions of the past, building on positive relationships between countries, and looking towards continued harmony for the future.
