A man under arrest is accused in a deadly crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian last summer.

Joyner Riang, 33, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, imprudent driving, failure to yield, no driver’s license and no seatbelts.

On Jul. 10, officers with the Guam Police Department (GPD) responded to two auto-pedestrian crashes along Route 3 near Chalan Lamasu.

The pedestrian, identified by police as a female minor, was rushed to Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) where she died days later.

Riang was arrested about seven months after the crash and after investigators gathered more evidence.

He is being held in the Department of Corrections prison.
