We've got a potential race to watch in Decision 2024.

Two well-known faces in Guam are making a run to be Guam's next delegate under the democratic ticket.

Senator Amanda Shelton and longtime anchor woman Ginger Cruz confirmed with KUAM that they are eyeing a seat in Washington D.C.

Cruz, who also worked years in federal service before starting her own consulting firm a decade ago, picked up her candidate packet from the Guam Election Commission (GEC) last week.

Senator Shelton, who has years in public service including working for former congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo, confirmed she will be a candidate for Congress in the 2024 election cycle.

The Democratic Party of Guam declined comment at this time.

If their candidacy moves forward with the GEC, the pair will go head to head during the Aug. 3 Primary.

For now, no republican candidates have picked up packets to go up against incumbent delegate James Moylan.
