Final Evaluation Problem assessment to be conducted on US Naval Base

U.S. Naval Base Guam will undergo the Final Evaluation Problem (FEP) operational assessment from Feb. 12 through the 16.
It’s a tri-annual certification event conducted by the Commander, Naval Installations Command (CNIC) to assess command, control, communications, and Naval Security Forces (NSF) on all U.S. Navy installations.
The exercise was designed to assess NSF’s ability to meet all core competencies, including component and geographical operational requirements.
Measures have been taken to minimize disruptions to normal base operations. However there may be times when exercise events may cause increased traffic around the installation, occasional delays in base access, and gate closures.
Area residents may also see increased security force activity associated with the exercise.
As part of the exercise, the Giant Voice (GV) public address systems at NBG installations will be activated.
Residents in surrounding areas will hear exercise announcements regarding force protection conditions throughout the week.
For information about potential impacts due to the exercise, visit the Naval Base Guam website (https://jrm.cnic.navy.mil/Installations/NAVBASE-Guam/) or follow NBG on Facebook (www.facebook.com/USNavalBaseGuam).
