2024 declared the Year of the Veteran

On Friday, in front of several of our island's veterans and leaders, Lt. Governor Joshua Tenorio put pen to paper declaring 2024 the Year of the Veteran.
Speaking briefly was Anthony Taijeron, the President of I Hinanao, I Magahet, Yan I Inina, which translates to, The Way, the Truth, and the Light.
The non-profit organization was created by a group of veterans whose focus is educating other veterans about the claims and benefits process.
Taijeron said, “Today will start the events for the rest of the year. We ask that that today we will start helping veterans in need, and organizations that need help. Get active and let's improve the lives of our veterans and this will improve the lives of their families and the economy in Guam, which will impact all of our people.”
And immediately following tonight’s newscast, tune in for “Veterans: support after service.”
Our KUAM team took a look at some of the organizations, including HMI and the services, programs, and resources available for vets and their families.
