In what would be significant tax relief for thousands of local households, the House today passed the bipartisan “Tax Relief for Working Families Act.”

It expands the child tax credits that also provided much-needed relief to Guam families during the pandemic.

In a statement, Congressman Jim Moylan said, “This is a huge win for working families in our community…This is a program that would help many of our families deal with inflation and the challenges of the rising cost of goods and services. No parent should struggle with raising their children.”

The measure increases the credit per child to $1,800, $1,900, and $2,000 for tax years 2023 through 2025.

It now goes to the Senate for a vote.
