Education officials with the Guam Department of Education are gathering later this afternoon for its mandated oversight hearing with the Guam Legislature.

Among the topics to be discussed before the Committee on Education, Public Safety, and the Arts include GDOE’s status update on facilities and maintenance, capital improvement projects, and public health compliance.

Other pressing issues include the Head Start quality improvement plan and the consolidation and closure of GDOE schools.

GDOE leaders are also slated to discuss the proposed FY25 budget, air conditioning vendor updates, and the status of TTyphoon Mawar D-LAN projects.

KUAM will update more on the hearing as it progresses.
