The holiday season is officially here and our friends at Salvation Army are looking for families, friends, businesses, government of Guam agencies and organizations to volunteer as bell ringers as part of their Red Kettle campaign.

The goal this year is $52-thousand dollars, which will directly benefit the services and programs that are offered at the Salvation Army.

Maj. Eric Tumale, the Guam Corps Officer and Micronesia Coordinator says that if you are unable to bell ring in person, there is an opportunity to volunteer or donate with a virtual red kettle

“Those unable to stand in the stores for our bell ringing because there is a virtual kettle- for those staying at home or their offices, they can register to be a virtual bell ringer by visiting our website, guam.salvationarmy.org and they can sign up and set their goals. They can monitor their income or they can share the link with their friends' family and even those outside the island can support us,” He said.

Bell ringing and the red kettles are set up at K-mart, GPO, Cost U Less in Tamuning, the Agana Shopping Center, and the Micronesia Mall from now until Dec. 23.
