Guam man writes "The Thanksgiving Song"

A song just in time for the family to celebrate this Turkey Day! Have you ever heard of The Thanksgiving Song? Well, there is one and it was written by a man who lives right here on Guam!

Meet Dr. Samuel Betances, who many call Dr. B. He’s the composer and writer of The Thanksgiving Day Song. "The Thanksgiving Song emerges over time. I loved being around children and my children. I started to sing and the music came out especially the tune which was catchy. The kids loved it during the Thanksgiving season," he said.

A journey that alongside his loved ones he was able to mold and make into the tune it is today. "Overtime the kids encouraged me to revive it. You cannot forget the tune. It’s grabbing, festive and fun," he shared.

A fun time with a song that just sticks, "So we don’t have a thanksgiving song and i am filling that gap."

Music that goes along with the stuffing and really any other side dish you enjoy this time of year.

A smile that showcases his journey to educate and entertain in Guam, which he now calls home.
