Family escapes house fire in Yigo

A Yigo family is safe after their home caught fire Monday morning.

It happened around 9:17 a.m. on Gayinero Road, according to Guam Fire Department spokesperson Nick Garrido.

Firefighters found a semi concrete dwelling covered in flames. All occupants were able to escape unharmed.

The fire was put out by 10:49 a.m.

Garrido adds Andersen Fire & Emergency Services assisted GFD by providing a water tanker.

The Yigo Mayor and representatives with the American Red Cross were also on scene
