A local garbage truck driver is taken into custody after being caught with drugs.

Rufo Viloria Sebastian, 51, is arrested on suspicion of possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Sebastian was driving a Mr. Rubbishman garbage truck onto the Port Authority terminal yard Wednesday when authorities conducted a random inspection.

According to Port officials, a guard witnessed Sebastian allegedly placed an item inside his right boot before authorities found meth and drug paraphernalia.

He is being held at the Department of Corrections prison.

“I want to commend Port Police Chief Jesse Mendiola for his leadership as well as the guard and officers who worked on this case,” said Port General Manager Rory J. Respicio, who applauded the leadership for working to prevent drugs from entering through Guam’s ports of entry. “We will continue to do everything possible to keep the Port safe and continue this Administration’s efforts to secure our border.”
