Two killed in midday shooting

A midday shooting in Toto has left two people dead, and a nearby school temporarily on lockdown. Local authorities are currently investigating what appears to be a possible murder-suicide.
The incident occurred just after 12 p.m. along Aragon Street in Toto, where a woman was found dead after having been shot.
Shortly afterward, Guam Police were called to respond to another shooting reported near Harvest Christian Academy, prompting a brief lockdown of the campus as a precaution. A school official confirmed with us that everyone on the campus is safe.
Witnesses reported that a man was found dead near a jungle area next to the school's sports field.
Investigators have linked the deaths, revealing that the man and woman were in a relationship, adding what they described as "a layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation."
As of now, no additional information has been released regarding the identities of the deceased individuals found just a short distance apart.
Guam Police spokesperson Officer Berlyn Savella confirmed the shooting after more than a couple of hours on the scene but provided limited details.
Authorities state that they are not actively seeking any suspected shooter at this time, emphasizing there is no immediate threat to the safety of the community.
Savella clarified, "At no time was there an active shooter situation." The focus of the ongoing investigation, she added, is to gather all relevant facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
Savella declined to answer further questions about the case, stating through WhatsApp Messenger that an interview is not feasible at this time, and a criminal investigation is ongoing.
