With the ongoing military buildup and plans for a 360-degree missile defense system, questions and concerns have been brought up within the community about how it might impact Guam 

On Thursday, Oct. 26, the Social Work Student Alliance is hosting a public forum: Guarding Guam's Horizons: understanding the Missile Defense Systems on guam. The forum aims to foster a sense of community engagement and awareness.

Panelists include: Sen. Sabina Perez, Nolan Flores of the Guam Commission on Decolonization and Maria Hernandez from the Coalition Hita Litekyan.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the panelists, ensuring that their questions and opinions are heard. The alliance encourages all members of the community, including students, faculty, and residents, to attend this informative session.

The forum will be held at the University of Guam class lecture hall from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
