Man dies in Sinajana crash
An update to the story of the early Saturday morning crash in Sinajana involving a man in his mid-30s.
Guam Police Department Spokesperson Officer Berlyn Savella confirms that the man has died.
According to Savella, at approximately 2:09am, a 2004 Mitsubishi Montero lost control and veered off the roadway colliding with a chain link fence before crashing into the GPA/GWA pump station on Rte. 4.
After the crash, a fire broke out in the vehicle. Four individuals managed to pull the driver out before it was fully consumed by the flames. The Guam Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire.
The indentity of victim is pending notification of next of kin.
This marks Guam’s 19th serious traffic
crash and 23rd fatality of the year.
