The suspect wanted in connection to stealing a Guam Fire Department ambulance has been captured.

Twenty-three-year-old Davidson Yoichi was arrested on suspicion of theft by receiving and destroying evidence.

Details of the case have yet to be made public.

Yoichi is being held at the Department of Corrections prison.

The Yona Fire Station ambulance was stolen while medics were responding to a sick patient call on Ministry Street in Mangilao last month.

Medics noticed the ambulance was missing as they were heading out to transport the patient to the hospital.

The Guam Police Department located the ambulance up north off of Chalan Ramirez at the Zero Down subdivision in Yigo last Sunday evening.

There was an estimated $15,000 in damages made to the vehicle along with expensive life-saving equipment stolen.

Prison records show Yoichi's criminal record goes back to 2018 where he was charged in separate cases involving theft, burglary, family violence, assault, and resisting arrest to name a few.
