The owner of Pacific Tiny Homes denies the allegations filed against him in local court today. Defendant Paul Vincent Untalan Sablan appeared before Magistrate Judge Jonathan Quan in the Superior Court of Guam.

Sablan is charged twice with theft of property and a grand jury handed the indictment that includes 13 total counts against him.

“Let the record show that you are waiving a reading of the indictment, that you are pleading not guilty, that you are waiving your right to a speedy trial, that you have requested a jury trial of 12…that request is granted and so ordered. The People of Guam are ordered to provide all statutory discovery to the defense, including LAXAMANA notes. The Court shall also order that a copy of the grand jury proceedings be reduced down to a compact disk and be given to your Attorney and the People's Attorney," said Judge Quan.

Sablan declined comment after leaving the courtroom. As KUAM reported, Sablan has been in and out of the courtroom for the past year after the government sued his company for alleged deceptive business practices. Several clients have come forward alleging they gave Sablan down payments but never got their homes built or their money back.

In July 2022, the Attorney General's Office's Consumer Protection Division filed a civil lawsuit against Sablan calling for him to cease the alleged illegal business practices, pay back the clients, fix the defects, and pay fines and attorney’s fees.

The AG's also filed a temporary restraining order against Sablan. Investigators also allege Sablan continues to advertise and offer container homes without a business or contractor's license.

The company’s Facebook page is also still active stating that operations are running and interested clients can inquire about working with them.
