Man arrested in police chase in Yigo

An early morning police chase ended in Yigo. A video has been circulating on social media, with a resident capturing the moment a white Nissan being chased after by Guam Police cars.
The incident unfolding just before 8 this morning.
Police identified the driver as 47-year-old Michael Pablo Castro. Authorities from the Tumon Police Precinct say he was allegedly driving a stolen car.
Police say Castro allegedly refused to pull over before leading officers on a chase north toward Yigo.
Officers eventually caught up to him and took him into custody.
Charges against Castro have not yet been filed.
Castro is the same driver allegedly involved in a highspeed chase that was caught on the surveillance camera at the front gate of Andersen Air Force Base last month.
Investigators say that chase ended when Castro crashed the car into a utility pole.
His passenger, Joseph Taimanglo II, was then seen running from authorities before being arrested.
Taimanglo is facing charges of illegal drug possession, aggravated assault and theft of a motor vehicle.
Castro was taken to Guam Regional Medical City to be treated for his injuries.
But KUAM has learned castro allegedly fled from the hospital.
Prison records show Castro was just released from prison last December in connection to a robbery case reported in 2014.
