The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority proposed new hospital rates, fees and charges.  This includes a total of 22 proposed room and board rates that go into effect on October 1, 2023 upon approval of the Guam Legislature and a total of 73 interim fees that are already in effect.

If you need to stay at the island’s only public hospital, you could be seeing up to a 175% rate increase for multiple hospital departments such as maternal/child health, skilled nursing, post-op and more.

Room and board under the Intensive Care Services includes a 62% rate increase.

The proposed room and board rates still need legislative approval.

Hospital officials note the public has five days to submit public testimony to GMH president Lillian Perez Posadas. The testimonies will be sent to the Guam Legislature.
