A cabinet member of the Leon Guerrero administration is facing allegations of inappropriate behavior involving a teenage boy.

Forty-two-year-old Adrian Cruz was arrested on suspicion of 4th-degree criminal sexual conduct and child abuse.

The alleged victim is 17.

Details of the police investigation have not yet been made public.

KUAM News confirms Cruz was arrested earlier this month by the Guam Police Department at his Mangilao home. Authorities questioned him about the allegations before he was booked and released.

Cruz has been serving as the administrator of the Hagåtña Restoration & Redevelopment Authority for about a month. He previously served as the deputy director of the Department of Agriculture under the current administration. KUAM News reached out to Cruz this afternoon.

"I don’t have any comment," he said.

KUAM also asked Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero earlier today about the arrest of her cabinet official. She, too, declined to comment.

The governor instead walked away from our interview.

There's no word if Cruz has been placed on administrative leave.

The Office of the Attorney General’s confirms with KUAM that the alleged victim has reached out to them. Investigators are waiting to review police reports to determine if the case will be taken to court.
