Police are forced to taser a man armed with a knife in a central village neighborhood. It happened a week ago in the early morning hours near an apartment building in Mangilao. Prosecutors allege 36-year-old JS Frances was drunk when he threatened to harm a man he knows while holding a knife.
When officers showed up, Frances took off into a the jungle. Authorities chased after him when Frances allegedly charged at police.
Officers tasering then him twice, as they struggled to get him into handcuffs. That’s when Frances said he was sorry, admitting he had too much to drink.
He is charged with assault on a peace officer and family violence.
