Mayor's Council of Guam president erupts with harsh criticism about underperforming typhoon response

Mayor's Council of Guam president Jesse Alig, of Piti, spoke with Nick Delgado and didn't hold back when venting his frustrations, now in Day 5, over what he sees as an underpeforming response effort to Typhoon Mawar by the Government of Guam. He said, while issuing harsh criticism about public service, "My frustration level is off the charts."

What do you think of the response thus far?

In response, Krystal Paco-San Agustin, Adelup's communications director, sent KUAM News the following statement: "Governor and LT Governor met with island mayors on Sunday and heard their concerns. We are working expeditiously to support their needs as the lead recovery efforts within their villages. Most issues were sourced around purchase orders. That issue has since been addressed."
