The Guam Memorial Hospital will begin accepting pregnant women as of 7pm. Expectant mothers are asked to bring an ID card, proof of insurance, if you have it, and any required medications. GMH spokesperson Cindy Hanson told KUAM News, "One change that is different is that this time around we are asking that pregnant mothers please bring their own clean linens, blankets and pillows."

She added, "Personal toiletries, like soap, toothbrush, deodorant, lotion, soap bar. a change of clothing. and because they will be with us for awhile we encourage them to bring stuff to entertain themselves like cards, games, movies, phones, books etcetera, just to help pass the time."

"Although we are going to be providing meals, I know from my own experience, you get hungry when you're a mom, because you're eating for two. So we're also encouraging pregnant mothers to bring some snacks and maybe some drinking water with them. Just things that don't need to be heated or refrigerated."

Family members will not be allowed, neither will pets, unless they are service animals. Expectant mothers will remain at GMH for the duration of the storm, or until its safe for them to return home.

The hospital's emergency room will also remain open to handle patients on an emergency basis.
