Guam declared in COR3, Typhoon Watch in effect

Guam was declared in Condition of Readiness 3 (COR3) at 1pm Saturday, with a Typhoon Watch in effect, with what's now known as Tropical Depression 02W about 615 miles to the south-southeast of our island. Typhoon conditions are possible within the next 48 hours. The storm is moving towards Guam with 30MPH winds. Tropical storm-force winds could be experienced on Guam early Tuesday morning.
Residents are advised to use the favorable conditions throughout the weekend to prepare their homes – secure debris and loose items around the yard, fuel your vehicles, get cash, and fill water bottles and buy extra batteries.
