Man allegedly shoots at woman in Dededo home
A man accused of abusing and shooting at a woman known to him is arrested.
Thirty-seven-year-old Malcolm Lee Westfall Chaco is charged aggravated assault, felonious restraint, and possession of a firearm without a firearms id.
Court documents state, his accuser told police he became angry with her inside a Dededo residence on May 11 before forcing her to use a knife to cut herself.
The complaint states the woman complied because she was in fear.
That’s when Chaco allegedly fired a pistol toward her leg, but the bullet hit a door. He allegedly fired it again near her ear causing the bullet to hit the couch. The woman was able to get away to safety later that day.
Chaco allegedly admitted to police that he bought the gun from an unknown person. Authorities note the gun was reported stolen in 2019.
