A man accused of trying to kidnap a 15-year-old girl denied the criminal charges he's facing in local court. 

Sixty-five-year-old Melencio Santos pleaded not guilty to attempted second-degree custodial interference and harassment in superior court today. 

He waived his speedy trial rights. 

Santos, on April 20, allegedly tried to get a child, who had just gotten off a school bus, into his car.  A bus driver stepped in to help the girl and got her home safely. 

Police later found Santos at a game room in Dededo
