Three people were charged with illegal drug possession in the Superior Court of Guam Tuesday.
All three cases were a result of Guam police officers conducting traffic stops.

According to a magistrate’s complaint, authorities stopped a car in Maite Sunday for making a right turn without stopping. Police searched the car and found a bag with methamphetamine.

Arsenio Quitugua Babauta Jr., 40, was charged with burglary, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, fraudulent use of a credit card, and theft of property.

Babauta allegedly admitted to using meth but claimed he had been clean for a few months, then later told officers he had no knowledge of any drugs in the car.
Investigators learned he was also a person of interest in a burglary investigation that unfolded in February where the victims reported multiple jewelry items were stolen, documents state. Babauta also allegedly tried to use stolen credit cards at a gas station in Tamuning.
In a second case filed separately, Rian Dakota Untalan, 28, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

According to court documents, officers stopped a car in Harmon on Sunday for not having front license plates. During a search, authorities found 6.47 grams of methamphetamine and pipes with meth residue inside a purse.

Untalan allegedly admitted to owning the drugs.
The third separate drug arrest occurred in Tamuning on Monday after officers spotted a car with no headlights or tail lights, court documents state.

Colleen Sherise Castillon Yurko, 35, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
Police searched the car and found a glass pipe with methamphetamine when they made the arrest.
