Governor declares March as American Red Cross Month

Honoring the American Red Cross Guam chapter for helping the people of Guam in their time of need,
Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero declared March 2023 as American Red Cross Month during a virtual proclamation signing earlier today.
Red Cross Guam chapter board chairman Marcos Fong announcing blue sky operations-- or preparedness operations– have resumed.
"These include programs like the pillowcase project when we partner with local schools and educate students on the importance of preparedness or the sound the alarm initiative where we work with village mayors to identify at risk homes and vulnerable residents that we may install smoke alarms in their homes," he said "These and many other preventative programs have proven to save lives. And I'm so happy to see them reactivated in our chapter."
The governor encourages the community to support the humanitarian mission of the American Red Cross by to reaching out to those in need.
