Moylan joins Republican delegation at the Mexican border

Guam's delegate, James Moylan joined a delegation down at the Mexico border. He and others from the nation's capital appeared in a photo down at Eagle's Pass, Texas. 

Moylan stated on his social media that he is joined by republican colleagues from the house of representatives witnessing firsthand the severity of the situation and the urgency to secure the border. 

Florida representative, Maria Salazar shared this tweet with a border patrol agent during their trip.

"It’s disgusting and I am livid and I am so thankful that you guys still show up to work every day," she said referring to border agent A. Lorenzo. "How do you feel?"

"I feel like I love to come to work every day," Lorenzo responded. I love the border patrol and what we do. The agents on the ground are the ones that need support and that is why we are here talking about it."

Salazar responded, " We need technology, we need manpower and we need infrastructure and as members of Congress, we promise you that we are fighting for you."

Moylan is set to hold a virtual press conference with Guam media tomorrow morning to discuss the visit. 

The trip comes after the Biden administration unveiled a strict, new asylum policy at the U.S.-Mexico border.
