Guam High School will donate 227 Interactive Flat Panels to George Washington High School this Thursday, March 2.

An IFP is a large touchscreen board with a built-in computer, enhancing interactive education in the classroom.

According to the Department of Defense Education Activity, all the IFPs are fully operational and have been returned to factory settings, but they are no longer covered under warranty by the manufacturer.

"We recently upgraded IFPs at our Guam schools as part of DoDEA's life cycle replacement program," said DoDEA Pacific Region Logistics Chief Dan Ray in a press release. "Through DLA's Computers for Learning, George Washington High School is able to accept the excessed devices at no cost."

The donation is possible through the Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Service's Computers for Learning, which allows DoD IT equipment to be donated to schools that have applied and been approved for the program.
