A man accused in a deadly shooting in Dededo late last year admitted that he killed his victim, Edward Bamba.

Thirty-one-old Janus Tabbada pleaded guilty today to murder as a first-degree felony before Presiding Judge Alberto Lamorena in the Superior Court of Guam.

He faces a minimum of 15 years in prison.

The judge however deferred sentencing, as prosecutor Basil O’Mallan told the court they want to resolve potential deportations issues.

It was said in court that Tabbada is a Philippine citizen.

Parties are expected to appear back in court next month to find out what happens next.

In Nov. 2022, Tabadda got into an argument with Blas over a women both dated before Tabbada shot Bamba in the chest, police said.

The shooting occurred in front of a home along Chalan Eskuela in Dededo.
