It’s a business affair! More like a business fair for the students of Mount Carmel School.

The island’s future business owners showing off their developing entrepreneurship today.

From coming up with a business plan to the basics of generating profits, even drumming up a marketing campaign—mount carmel’s 6th through 8th graders got it covered!

The students presented more than 100 business ideas developed with their teachers and guardians.

Each concept was judged by local professionals and leaders in the community.

Among the businesses was 6th grader Elijah Mendiola's “Eli’s-N-Go,” which looks to be Guam’s first drive-in store.

“So my business is a car convenience store, so basically, you drive in, and you tell me what you want, and I’ll give it to you," he said. "So, say this person wants kool-aid; while I’m getting the Kool-Aid, you’ll be paying—I’ll give you the order in under five minutes—it’ll be five minutes and under—so basically, I’ll need 250,000 to start up this business, and I will need it for a big warehouse, and all my employees—I would need three employees—if you look inside here, I need one to re-stock the items, I need one to give the cashier items, and a cashier.”

This is the school’s fifth year of holding the annual fair, which Principal Krystal Agustin says she’s looking forward to holding again.
