The owner of the helicopter company convicted on multiple counts of fraud and money laundering wants a new trial in the District Court of Guam.
Parties for defendant John Walker and the company Hansen Helicopter appeared virtually today before Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood.
The company was accused of circumventing U.S. aviation safety regulations to boost its profits.
Walker intends to request for a new trial but his defense is waiting for transcripts recorded during the initial trial to prepare their arguments.
Parties will return to court at a later date.
It was said in court today sentencing is also delayed until all post-trial motions are argued in court.
