Man arrested for missing RAV4 found stripped for parts

Nineteen-year-old AM Anap was arrested and charged with Theft by Receiving as a second-degree felony and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle as a Misdemeanor.
According to a magistrate's complaint, a woman reported her Toyota RAV4 stolen at the Royal Gardens on the morning of Jan 5.
Anap was reported to have been at the complex at the time of the theft because a security guard allowed him to use the pool.
Then a woman said on Jan. 8, Anap picked her up in a Rav4, which surprised her because he didn't own a car. Anap and the woman, court documents state, took police to the Okkodo pipeline where the stolen Rav4 was located, stripped for parts.
Anap allegedly acknowledged he was at the precinct because of the "white Rav4."
Another theft was reported on Jan. 13 at Royal Gardens where a Nissan Sentra was broken into and items were taken.
Anap was questioned by police and allegedly said he was passing through the complex but didn't break into any cars. Court documents state, he allegedly said the Nissan was already open and while he took coins from the car, he denied stealing the other items.
