A car crashed into a utility pole on Rota near the island’s cave museum heading towards Songsong village around 10 p.m. Saturday causing power in the area to out for several hours.
A police officer on scene told KUAM the driver was drunk, but was not able to provide any further information. KUAM learned the driver was the only person in the car. His condition is not known.
Traffic was stalled as the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation and Department of Public Works cleared the road for drivers heading to Sinapalo.
