One of the men accused in multiple armed robberies claims he was attacked in prison.

Defendant Brandon Flores asked a Superior Court judge today to be moved from the Department of Corrections prison facility in Mangilao to the lockup in Hagatna for his safety.

Details of the assault were not discussed in court. But KUAM confirms Flores was attacked on Christmas Eve. Authorities did not note any injuries but moved him to another cell.

Prosecutors did not object to his request.

Judge Vernon Perez granted his request and kept him at the courthouse until DOC approved the transfer.

Flores along with Javick Chutaro are charged separately with second-degree robbery.

Flores allegedly used a bb gun to rob multiple stores and game rooms last August and September.

He’s back in court on Feb. 23.
