Twenty-eight-year-old Matthew Salas will remain locked up while he waits to find out how long he will have to spend in federal prison.

Salas pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute 50 or more grams of methamphetamine before District Court Magistrate Judge Michael Bordallo today.

The court denied his request to get out prison. He will be sentenced on April 20.

Salas admitted to his part in smuggling drugs through the mail. More than 111 grams of meth were sent to him from Arizona last May.

The feds tracked the package to a Dededo home before taking Salas into custody.
