Guam will receive more than $2.5 million in Fiscal Year 2023 Compact impact discretionary funding. Congressional delegate Jim Moylan stating based on the corrected 2018 estimates of Compact of Free Association migrants conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. Department of the Interior announced that GovGuam will be allocated the money.

The funds are solely for educational purposes, but Moylan said this amount is inadequate.

He says he looks forward to working with Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and her administration in approaching the COFA negotiations on a federal level.
