Tinian Municipal Council elects leadership

The 19th Tinian Municipal Council was also ceremonially sworn in Friday by Associate Justice Perry Inos.
In their first organizational session, Joseph Santos was elected chair, Ana San Nicolas was elected vice chair, and Estevan Cabrera was elected secretary. The council members were joined by Tinian Senate and House lawmakers at the Tinian Mayor’s Office.
"We have been through the pandemic so we are still in recovery mode. The ARPA…we are still in that phase and we are trying to see how we can work with the mayor and Tinian delegation on building the economy back," said Santos.
This is Santos’ second term as chairman of the council.
