A manhunt is underway for a gunman who robbed a mom-and-pop store in Talo’fo’fo'.

The robber shot a cashier before taking off from the scene.

Police say the cashier of Q Mart was rushed to Naval Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

He was conscious and responsive, according to Guam Police Department spokesperson Officer Berlyn Savella.

Officers from Southern Precinct Command got to the scene off San Miguel Street just before 1 this afternoon.

That’s when they found the cashier with gunshot wounds.

Officers helped him until medics arrived on scene to take him to the hospital.

His condition has not yet been released.

Authorities are now looking for the gunman who was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black shorts, a black mask and shades.

The armed suspect fled with cash and jumped into the passenger side of a white double cab Toyota pickup truck. It also has black rims, dark tint and a tri-fold black bed cover.

"We have our patrol officers, Special Operations Division officers and our community Crimes Task Force who are looking within the area to seek this suspect and the person he had fled with," Savella said. "We are asking the community's help that if you may have seen anything within this location, heard or have any information that may assist our officers, we are asking you to call 475-8615 thru 7."

GPD's Crime Scene detectives are leading the investigation.
