A Tony and Grammy award winner is in the Marianas seeking the best talent on Guam and Saipan for his latest film. New York-based entertainment producer is on Saipan seeking on and off camera talent for his film "relive" which will be filmed on Guam in March and April.

Jhett Tolentino told KUAM News about his latest project, Relive, saying "It's a family-based story of somebody who grew up on Guam, Filipino centric, but is is a story of a trans kid who had a difficulty in identifying in the kind of space and environment that she wanted to belong. She really wanted to be a cheer leader but because of her biology she could not be accepted. And fast forward ten years later she is now an Emmy winning actress in L.A., she receives an invitation from high school for a ten-year reunion with the theme 'Come back and relive that life you always wanted'."

Tolentino says hes excited to work in the Pacific make this film under the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.  "Once you have that approval from SAG the film is considered as a film with pedigree. It really opens wider audiences," he said.

Tolentino brings a vast wealth of expertise to the islands. In 2016, he won a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album for his work on The Color Purple.  "I am here trying to identify what is available in the islands, priority is of course trying to provide them that opportunity," he said encouragingly.
